Robert served his country in war and peace with commitment and honor. Assigned to the renowned 71st Special Operations Squadron, he hunted the enemy during daunting night support sorties until he was wounded in combat after 103 missions. Witnessing the harm to "God's little ones" in Vietnam, he subsequently led special programs at Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA, for children with medical challenges.
