Foster served as an Aviation Supply Chief and took care of logistics for numerous Marine Air Wings, Groups, and Squadrons in the Pacific Theater. He participated in campaigns in the Bismark Archipelago, Mindanao and the Solomon Islands. He also served in the Korean Campaign with United Nations forces.
