Pat grew up in the small rural town of North Vernon, Indiana. nurtured by a loving family and developed many close friends. friends who are honoring him on this day on Mt. Soledad.
Pat was drafted into the army in 1968 and achieved the rank of Specialist 5th Class in only a few short 18 months of military service. Company B of the 39th Engineer Battalion in Chu Lai of Vietnam was home for Pat from November 1968 till January 1970. Being a radio operator and m60 machine gun operator in Vietnam he was honored to be selected soldier of the month in October 1969, of the 39th Engineer Battalion. After being discharged from the army and returning to Indiana he met and married a beautiful vibrant Glenda Aldridge a marriage of over 50 years that involved raising two children; Jennifer and Joshua, and two grandchildren Oliver and Fox.
To this day, Pat is honored and humbled by his close childhood friends, who honor him today. Pat's friendship and love for these friends are only shadowed by his devotional love and respect for Glenda, Jennifer, Joshua, and his two grandsons Oliver and Fox.
Pat would like everyone to remember and live by these words: "Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there is in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant. they too have their story" found in St, Paul’s Church Baltimore, MD. 1692.
