Palmer answered this country's call to serve and became a Surgical Technician. He was assigned to the 9952nd Tactical Service Unit, under the Surgeon General's Office, out of Madigan Army Hospital, Fort Lewis, WA. After training, Palmer served as a Surgical Technician forward deployed in the Pacific.
