Jordan Lee Kates

Jordy, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on October 13, 1935 to Robert and Goldie Kates (Katz). He was the oldest of 2 siblings. He grew up in Newton, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston with his sister, Ellen, and late brother Stephen. He spent much of his early years working with his father in his pharmacy. He graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and was a practicing Pharmacist for many years. Later, he went into the Dental Supply industry and came full circle back to his passion of Pharmacy and retired at age 81. Jordy was also a veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1957 through 1963, both active duty and reserve. Jordy was a funny guy; he always had a joke or a funny story to share.
