While assaulting a heavily fortified enemy hill position on January 12, 1952 with Company L, 38th Regiment, Cpl. Rosser killed at least 13 of the enemy and while wounded, made serveral trips across open terrain to remove other soldiers injured more seriously than himself, risking his life above and beyond the call of duty.
