Miquel Lona served as 1st Sergeant in the 1872nd Head and Neck Detachment (HND) during Inherent Resolve Campaign in Iraq providing first level trauma care. When a seriously injured soldier came to the medical center, Miguel and his team assisted three surgeons (neuro, facial, and ophthalmic) simultaneously to save the soldier's life.
