MEDALS-RIBBONS: Vietnam Service, Vietnam Campaign
Ernesto proudly served his country during the Vietnam War where he was attached to the 1st Field Force, Vietnam (1FFV). 1FFV exercised operational control over the U.S. and allied forces in the Il Corps Tactical Zone as well as provided combat assistance to the Vietnamese Units in the area. Additionally, they supported convoys between Vietnam and Cambodia. Ernesto superbly performed his duties and assignments and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal and an honorable discharge for his outstanding service.
