Edward C. Miller (aka EC) was drafted into service during WWII. He served as a Tec 5 in the Battery C 767th Field Artillery working as an automotive mechanic. As a mechanic, Edward was a key cog in the Red Ball Express. His efforts enabled hundreds of military trucks to supply the Allied Armies with 700-750 tons of supplies for 82 days ensuring the Allied victory. During his service, he received the following medals and badges: Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Sharpshooter Badge Carbine Bar, and Marksman Badge Rifle Bar. He was extremely proud of the time he served in WWII; especially his time on the Red Ball Express supply line in Europe.
