Sergeant Scott was a member of one of the "JEDBURGH TEAMS". These were small teams of allied military personnel who parachuted inside terroritory occupied by Nazi Germany to assist local resistance forces and carry out search and destroy militay operations against the enemy forces. He was killed in actin.
