Sergeant Alec Langen, Crew Chief for a CH-53E ("TIGER 43") assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron-361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, stationed at Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar, California.
Tragically the crew perished in the crash of this aircraft during training on the 7th of February 2024.
Alec Langen, of Chandler, Arizona, enlisted in the Marine Corps on September 14, 2017 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on October 1, 2022. His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Global War of Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and two Sea Srvice Deployment Ribbons.
