Sergeant Baneulos fought in some of Vietnam's fiercest battles, including the TET Counteroffensive and opperations near Trang Bang. During a mission to rescue a wounded comrad under intense enemy fire, Sergeant Bunuelos was fataly shot while carrying him to safety. For this act of heroism, he was posthumously awarded the Silver Star.
