"Sparky" was recruited in the Philippines to serve in the U.S. Navy. Initially trained as an Electrician, a job he excelled in for his 25 yeas of service. "Sparky" served aboard numerous ships, including the USS NEWPORT NEWS (CA-148), and had a few shore tours of duty. He proudly served this great nation.
