Died While Serving 8 July 1944
John enlisted in the Indiana National Guard and later in the Army Air Forces as an Aviation Cadet. He was lost in a training accident while flying the Bell P-39Q Airacobra from Mokuleia Air Field, Territory of Hawaii.
