Alberto served aboard the USS Ara (AK-136), a cargo ship that delivered supplies, equipment and troops in the Pacific Theater to Kwajalein, Eniwetok, Tinian, Saipan. The ship helped enable the capture and occupation of Guam and the Philippines.
