Signalman Seaman Gunn was one of the courageous crew of the USS COLE (DDG-67) who perished in service to their country on October 12, 2000.
While the USS COLE was refueling in Aden, Yemen, a terrorist attack resulted in a massive explosion on the ship's port side. These seventeen sailors lost their lives in the attack.
