First and foremost, Marcos prefers to be addressed as Marcus… Marcus was born in Quito, Ecuador, on February 24, 1949, and moved to the United States at the age of 15. At a very young age, Marcus realized how lucky and proud he was to be living in the United States. Because of his respect and love for the country, Marcus decided at age 19 to enlist in the U.S. Navy and also begin his journey to becoming an American Citizen.
Marcos' duties and abilities ensured the USS Sierra accomplished all operations. For this he received a Honorable Discharge continuing his service in the Naval Reserve.
To this day, Marcus is still a true patriot who continues to love and respect the United States of America. Marcus is a good man with a big heart who is always willing to help others in need. During the course of the year, Marcus works with local Community Centers for children and assists in gathering school supplies, clothing, and gifts for the holiday season. He also helps people in the community in preventing their homes from going into foreclosure.
As far as his family, his wife and son Michael and all other family members love him dearly and are very proud to have him in their lives.
