Simeon survived the initial Japanese bombing of the Philippines and separated from his unit, managed to evade capture and subsequently rejoin his unit. For three decades he demonstrated his pride of country, dedication and professionalism and was an inspiration to all with whom he served. He honored his country and now stands relieved of his watch. Well done.
