Machinist Mate 3rd Class Eddie Lerma's resolve was tested during the onset of the 2nd Iraq War where his ship was deployed for 11 1/2 months. His ship, USS CAMDEN (AOE-2) was the first on station to support the USS COLE when she was atacked by terrorists.
