The patriotic sons of Dola and Jack Flyn of Lakeview Oregon responded after the Pearl Harbor attack by the Japanese.Brother Mills went into the Seabees while brother Fields served in the Submarine Service. Noel served at Hospitals for Navy and Marine Corps wounded in Camp Adair and Camp White, Oregon.
Fields served as a Fireman/Damage Control in the submarine Serrvice, onboard the USS Roncador (SS-301), ported at both Honolulu, Hawaii and Midway Island (Midway Atoll).
