Randal first served as a Drill Sergeant in the Army Reserves. After he was commisined as a 2nd Lieutenant he bagan his active duty service in the Medical Service Corps. He deployed twice to Afghanistan (2009 and 20012) and was awarded the Bronze Star. He received the Humanitarian Service Award Medal for his extensive contributions to "Opeartion Allies Welcome".
