Paul served in WWIl as a courageous C-47 transport pilot in North Africa, then as a B-29 bomber pilot, based in India and China. Flew in the first B-29 raid of the war over Bangkok as well as 15 bombing missions directly on Japan, and other targets in Southeast Asia.
