MEDALS-RIBBONS: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, World War II Victory
He entered Navy service in 1942. Served during WWII mainly in the Pacific Theatre. He was separated from service in 1946 and rejoined briefly as regular Navy. Separated in 1947. He volunteered for service during Korea and was assigned to Norfolk/Little Creek. Robert proudly and honorably served as Commanding Officer, USS PCD 844 and Executive Officer, USS PCE 871 and Navigator on the USS Bassett (APD-73).
