LTCOL Kenneth MacDonald served as a Tank Unit Commander with the 44th Tank Battalion in the 6th Army, participating in the liberation of Santo Tomas Interment Camp in the Philippines. Before this, during WWII, he served with his brother Donald in the campaign to liberate New Guinea. Ken continued his military career srving in the Army of Occupation in Japan and later seeing combat with the Armored Cavalry in Korea.
