Michael honorably and dutifully served his country when called as a Rifleman. His family is immeasurably proud of his service. Forever in our hearts.
Michael Earl Lahrman was born on November 19, 1944, to Ruth Boenkamp & Lloyd Lahrman in Pasco, Washington! He had two older sisters, two younger sisters, and a half-brother.
He joined the Marines in 1962. Met his future bride in May 1963 in San Bernardino, CA! Baptized as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ in May 1964 at Hillside Christian Church in San Bernardino. Married on July 4, 1964, in the same Church he was baptized. After he completed his 4th year in the Marines, he enrolled as a reservist in The Air National Guard for 10 years. Retired with an Honorable Discharge as Staff Sergeant!
Moved to Fresno with his wife, son, and daughter in 1976. Graduated from Fresno State in 1980 w/ a Bachelor of Science Degree! He became a teacher at Fresno Unified School District. He loved sports and kids and decided to coach Little League Baseball, Pop Warner Football, Basketball, and even Soccer.
He loved the Lord and was a devoted husband, loving Father/Grandfather to his two children and 5 grandkids!
He was promoted to his permanent home on February 7, 2012!
