1st Lieutenant Jackson served as a Rifle Platoon Leader during the Korean War. During combat operations he was badly wounded but held on until all of his mem had been removed from danger. For his gallantry he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Silver Star. His daughter, Jennifer, served in the Army during the Global War of Terrorism.
