Larry honorably served as a Platoon Leader at Headquarters Company, 65th Combat Engineering Battalion, 25th Infantry Division. The Cu Chi Army camp was located south of the Vietcong stronghold known as the Iron Triangle and was near and in some cases above the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels.
