William served 6 years in the US Air Force and the US Army from 1945 to 1951. He was a communication operator. During his six years of military service, he helped transport active combat soldiers between the US military base in Japan and the Korean battlefield. He was awarded with the Korean service medal for his participation. He was a loving Dad with five children (four boys and one girl). Two of his sons served in the military (Air Force and Navy). He will always be remembered by his family and his country.
