A 1983 graduate of the US Naval Academy, Keats earned his Naval Flight Officer wings in Pensacola. He served with distinction as the Training and Safety Officer VP-4, Dept Head VP-9, Weapons Officer USS Enterprise (CVN-65), and with COMOPTEVFOR in Norfolk. He retired with 24 years of distinguished service.
