Ken was a Plankowner on the Guided Missile Frigate USS Horne (DLG-30). He was the very first crew member to report to the ship during construction in San Francisco. In addition to his time on Horne, Ken's 20 year NAVY career included work in Naval Intelligence as well as duty on the USS Bradley (DE- 1041), Weapons Engineer at San Francisco's Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, COMCRUDESPAC, Naval Lab San Diego and Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington DC.
