Col Guerin served with distinction foe 29 1/2 years. An infantry officer he commanded two infantry companies and a service company. His duties over the course of his career included two tours of recruiting duty and working with many foreign military forces and several US departments and agencies. His final assignment brought him to MCRD San Diego where he served as Commanding Officer, Recruit Training Regiment and Chief of Staff.
