Joined the U.S. Navy in 1950, rising through the ranks as an Aviation Boatswains Mate to become a Mustang, retiring as Chief Warrant Officer -3. Served on the U.S.S. Kula Gulf, CVE-108, Pushed Boots at Great Lakes,Maintenance Chief and Crash Crew Fire Chief at N.A.S Keflavik, Iceland. Leading Chief at FAETULANT in Jacksonville, and became an Officer.Fuels Officer on the U.S.S. Kearsarge, N.A.S. Miramar and aboard the U.S.S. Iwo Jima. Ended his career as the Air Terminal Officer, N.A.S. North Island.
