David joined the U.S. Navy in September 1955. He proudly served at various Naval Air Stations across the country. He also served aboard the USS Coral Sea, USS Enterprise, and USS Ranger. He was respected by those with whom he served.
He received a letter of Commendation in recognition for services while assigned to Fighter Squadron VF111 on board the USS Coral Sea (CVA-43)
After 20 years of service, he retired on September 30, 1975, at NAS Miramar, San Diego, California.

he deployed on USS Coral Sea (CVA-43), USS Enterprise
(CVN-65) and USS Ranger (CVA-61).
