CTTC (SW/EXW/IDW) Christian Pike was born in Berlin Germany, in 1981. He moved around to various Army bases with his mother. In 1993, the family moved to Peoria Arizona. Christian joined the Navy in 2001, prior to September 11th. After basic, he went to Pensacola for advanced training. His initial five years in the Navy were served aboard the USS Cleveland. In 2007 Christian reported to Navy Information Operations Command, San Diego and deployed to Iraq in support of Marine Combat Operations. In September 2012, Christian deployed to Afghanistan assigned to SRT 1, ECHO platoon, Seal Team 5. On March 10th, 2013, Christian and his unit came under heavy fire. Chris moved to suppress enemy fire and to provide tactical updates to the team. To intercept enemy communication, he needed to stand to support the antenna. While returning fire and continuing to intercept, Christian was mortally wounded. For heroic achievement in combat, Christian was posthumously awarded a Bronze Star with Valor. He loved the Navy, his family, and his teammates.
