Flying Clipper Boat Captain
"Master of Ocean Flying Boats"
A civilian pillot with Pan American World Airways, Roman received "veteran" status by the U. S. Navy for flying missions with the Naval Air Transport Service. An outstanding pilot, he trained pilots for the Battle of Britain, was FAA rated to fly many planes, and is listed at the Smithsonian Air Museum.
