Captain Clark served in World War and World War II, as well as during the Korean War era. He spent many years at sea. He commanded three ships: USS GENERAL S. HEINTZELMAN (AP-159); USS CHELEB (AK-138) and USS REEVES (DE156). He also seved in USS THOMAS JEFFERSON (APA-30) and USS YMS-60.
