Dr. Douglas Lincoln Forde, M.D. served in the Pacific during World War II. After the war, he was stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco and escorted GI's across the country to Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC.
Dr. Forde graduated from the USC
Medical School and was
commissioned in the U.S. Army as a
Captain. Serving through World War
11, assigned to the Pacific Theater.
After the war, he was posted at the
Presidio in San Francisco and
medically escorted wounded soldiers
to Walter Reed Army Hospital.
