Captain Leue flew undreds of missions in F4U-4 Corsairs and F9F Panthersfrom USS BOXER and USS VALLLEY FORGE during the Korean War. In Vietnam, he flew the A4C Skyhawk surviving over 200 more combat missions (for a total of 329 missins). He also served as Commnding Officer of the supply ship USS CANISTEO. After a 31 year career, he retired to write two books about his experiences: "Korean Combat" and "Vietnam Combat".
