Captain Kent served as a Specialist 5 and then as a CWO2 flying the UH1 Huey Gunship in Vietnam. He flew multiple cambat missions. Having been wounded in aactin, he earned the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. After his service in Vietnam, he continued to serve in the reseves for another 15 years, retiring as a Captain.
