Captain Alan G Hodge USN
Born in Birmingham, AL in 1926 and passed away on May 19th, 2004 after a life of dedication to his country and the United Staes Navy.
Captain Hodge was a member of the US Navy Seals Underwater Demolation Team. He served as the commanding officer of several ships during his highly decorated career. He was a commanding officer of the Naval Operations Service Group Atlantic, and also was the Chief of Staff Officer, Commander Group One Pacific. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, the second being as Commander Coastal Squadron One. He then reprted for duty with the Unconventional Warfare Branch, Special Operations Division,SACSA, Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Captain Hodges served over 25 years in the US Navy as a member of the Navy SEALS/UDT service. He served in WWII, Vietnam and The Cold War. He commanded several US Navy ships. His most significant decoration was the Legion of Merit with Combat "V".
