Phil Kendro graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He was commissioned into the United States Marine Corps and later designated a Naval Aviator.
He served over 20 years in the Marine Corps as a Pilot, Instructor Pilot, Forward Air Controller, Company Commander for the 2003 Iraq Invasion, and Operations Director, and helped with Community and Public Relations. Following his service, he assisted in Business Development for a San Diego IT company, has flown with two airlines, and worked as the Assistant Director for the Marine Corps Entertainment Office.
He also continues to help consult on aviation operations and events, and mentors transitioning Veterans. Phil also holds a Masters in International Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution from Norwich University.
In addition to his role on the Board of Trustees for MSNVM, Phil is the Co-Founder of the Veterans Beer Club and sits on the San Diego Military and Advisory Council, as well as the committees for the San Diego Veterans Day Parade and La Jolla Concours D’Elegance.
